The players and coaching staff of the DI team walked onto the pitch in the build-up to Valencia CF-Rayo Vallecano
The Escoles Cor Blanquinegre project is one of the most important activities undertaken by the VCF Foundation.
With the invaluable support of the Diputació de València, the project is in its seventh season of operation, offering schools the possibility of weekly training sessions with Valencia CF coaches as a tool for educational improvement.
The CEIP Sant Josep de Serra school was the venue for the official start to Escoles Cor Blanquinegre activity in 2022, with the participation of the director general of the VCF Foundation, Teo Swee Wei, and club ambassador Miguel Angel Bossio. Also present were the mayoress of the town, Alicia Tusón, school headmaster Vicent Nieto, and Esther Romero, former VCF Femenino player and coach of the Escola in Serra.

The connection between the VCF Foundation and the town began in the 2018/19 season. Children train on the futsal pitch at the Héctor Català Sports Center, which now has new artificial turf.
Mr. Swee Wei addressed those in attendance by saying that “we have chosen Serra for the opening of the year for different reasons: Because of the involvement of the management and teachers of Colegio Sant Josep; and because we are very satisfied with the results. We know that there has been a significant improvement in school performance for students who participate. Serra exemplifies the work of Valencia CF and the VCF Foundation. We are in the smallest participating town in the project and, with this event, we want to pay tribute to the small inland towns. The heart of the VCF Foundation wants to reach every corner of the Valencia region."
Héctor Catalá, after whom the sports center is named, is from Serra, a former student of the school and a Paralympic triathlon champion. He will collaborate with Escoles Cor Blanquinegre as an example of the values that are transmitted through the project: Perseverance, effort, self-esteem and teamwork.

Mr. Swee Wei told those present that: “You are all participants in the success of this project, which is based on perseverance, effort and work. Keep working like this, study, behave well and share the happiness of training with Valencia CF."
